Introduction

Once upon a time, near the magical land of Equestria. The Crystal Empire was being overruled by an evil unicorn king. King Sombra. He stole the Crystal Heart, an ancient, protective artifact powered by the positive feelings of the Crystal ponies, and had hidden it. In doing this he destroyed their only defense and ruined their unambiguous emotions. With the ponies weakened and defenseless he enslaved all of them, and forced them to join his army. After his rise to power, Sombra started to wage war with Equestria.

As soon as the royal sisters, Celestia and Luna, learned of his belligerence, they gathered the royal guard and marched to the Empire. After arriving they proceed to seal Sombra, as a shadow, and imprison him the arctic around the empire. But before he lost all of his powers, The King cast a curse on the land, causing it to disappear for as long as he was imprisoned.
