A Gift From The Stars.

Chapter 1: Prolog

My name is Twilight Sparkle and my life was complicated and still is. For those of you that don't know then let me explain.

You see six years ago Princess Celestia sent me a copy of Starswirl The Bearded's book of spells and asked me to see if I could complete a spell even Starswirl couldn't finish. When I cast the spell to see how it worked nothing happened, or so I thought. It turns out that the spell changed the elements of harmony around as well as my friends' cutie marks.

Once I figured out how to help my friends remember what made them special I had a spark of inspiration and knew how to finish the spell, however, when I completed it a blast of magic burst from the elements at me and for a while I thought I was either dead or dreaming. I mean it felt like a dream, though I don't know if the dead dream, and if so what do they dream about--nevermind, almost went off topic, anyway, while I was in the dreamlike state Princess Celestia said that it was time to fulfill my destiny and I was back in Ponyville as an alicorn princess, and I thought that was the most complicated part of my life, but it wasn't.

About midnight that same day, before my coronation, my friends Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, Rarity and Applejack and I were out stargazing . As we were watching a meteor shower, we started making wishes on them. Pinkie and Rainbow Dash's wish's were the easiest to figure out, Pinkie's being that we would always be friends no matter what, and Dash's being to be in the Wonder Bolts. Rarity's wish was that her fashions were everywhere in Equestria and Applejack's wish was to get a lot of bits to help her family. Fluttershy's wish was also to be expected since she wished that all her animals could be happy as much as they were.

My wish was something that sounded as innocent as it was, a chance to start a new life, a chance to change the world and make it a better place for all who live in it, a chance to find love in the most unlikely of places, but most importantly, for all of us to always find time to be with each other regardless of the situation or reason and not let anything force its way between us and drive us apart. What we didn't know and I never expected was that our wishes were going to come true in more way then one.

I thought the most surprising thing I was going to discover was finding out I'm a princess, only to see that my biggest surprise was going to be when a light-blue alicorn filly fell from the stars. Imagine my surprise when she said she came from the future to find her mom, whose name, much to the shock of everyone, was Twilight Sparkle, My Name.

At the time I still didn't want to believe it and today I truly found out that I was more than just a mom, but a beacon of hope to a filly who fell from the stars to save a dying future, with eyes that were filled with happiness, remorse and hope. Hope for a brighter future, Remorse for letting her resentment get the better of her and Happiness that brought tears of joy from seeing her mom again that I thought would never stop. If I thought my life was complicated then, then it got a whole lot more complicated when I became a mom.

This is my story as much as it is hers, but every time I look back my heart fills with joy and pride and for as long I live I am proud to have called Stardust my daughter, my life, My Future.

Author's Note:

this is the first story I've written before so sorry for any errors or odd sentences and grammar mistakes.

Stardust is the main focus of the story, but twilight is the main character so if you have suggestions for any upcoming chapters I would appreciate the help as I have almost no clue how to think up new scenarios' for the story other than the one that come to my mind and those are few and far between.

also since this is my first time writing don't expect updates frequently as I don't know when I'll get started of the chapters and if any of you want, could make a cover art for the story that has Stardust surrounded by the mane six. Stardust has a light-blue coat, lavender eyes, a rainbow-spectrum mane and tail that is styled like Twilights, and a cutie mark that is a galaxy with a rainbow starburst in the middle and has the sun on the left and moon on the right.

sorry the update is slow having trouble coming up a way to move the story along and keep it interesting.

I have an idea but getting it to work is proving difficult.

I really like this story so far i just read it and i am sorry to bug you i was just wondering if by any chance you know when you might post next chapter i understand that life can get in the way and i don't want to rash you or anything i just asking if you don't know that is okay and take your time on making a grate chapter

5268375 its probably not going to updated any time soon. but im still working on it and I have an idea but no real clue how to build it into a workable story.

my idea revolves around the idea of time-travel and the first chapter starts in the future. but the theme of the story is of love, loss, hope, betrayal and sacrifice.

I could use an editor and a proof-reader to help speed up writing the story and to pitch ideas around.
