The Laughter fades

The laughter fades,
Smiles drift into shades,
Comic relief,
Is now so brief.

Laughter no longer bounds,
No more happy sounds,
Hair lacking fluff,
No more puff.

Her head is down,
Her hair is flat,
She can't turn the frown,
Upside down.

The one known as pink,
Is now on the brink,
With one simple blink,
Her feelings are extinct.

Don't be afraid of laughter,
She isn't known for slaughter.

Make no mistake,
Don't eat the cupcakes.

Now that laughter has faded,
She has become isolated,
From nice to jaded.

Bright blue eyes,
Matched only by the sky,
Now glazed over,
And lack luster.

Ponies of the town,
All sport their frowns,
Even those wearing the crown,
Feel the pain pound for pound.

Now that laughter is gone,
We keep on smiling,
Keep on faking,
But were so close to tears,
Even after all these years.
