What the hay? Part 1

Lemon Lime could only shiver as the face-less pony slowly approached her

'This thing only saved me to do what the Timberwolves would have done' she thought

The thing stopped about a foot away from her

Please do not be afraid- I will not harm you

Her eyes shot open
"Wh-what?! Wh-who said that?" She cried

I did

She looked frantically around the courtyard, and stopped on the mystery pony

"Wh-what do y-you want with- with me?"

Some company is all- there aren't many out here to have a conversation with

"Th-then why not j-just go out there" she asked, pointing over the horizon

Would you be able to go out there looking like I do?

Her ears flopped against her head

I thought not

"H-how can you speak?"

I'm not sure, I only know I can speak through minds

"Wow..."

The tall pony sighed and turned away, his elegant shadow dancing as the fire continued to burn in its pit

"What's your name?"

I am known as Slendermane

"I'm- I'm Lemon Lime"

Nice to meet you

His long neck lowered

"Is something wrong?"

You must want to go back home- I'll take you there now

"NO!"

Suprised by her outburst, Slendermane rose back to full height and turned towards her

"Um, I mean, no- could I, could I stay here? With you?"

Slendermane cocked his head

I am confused- you do not wish to go back to your home? Your family?

Lemon winced

"I- I don't have any family, I've lived in an orphanage for most of my life..."

Though he had no features, she could somehow tell there was a look of sympathy on his face

...this forest is too dangerous...

Her heart sank as he made his point

...however, you may remain with me if you wish-

He didn't finish his sentence as a set of hooves wrapped around his long neck, he wasn't quite sure what to do as the filly continued to hold him.

What are you doing?

"It's called a hug"

'A hug?'

Slendermane felt a warmth eminate from his chest

He decided right then and there that he enjoyed 'hugs'

"Alright girls, time to get out" Aloe said, handing a towel to each of the mares
"I just love a nice soak in the spa baths, don't you?"
"Oh, um, yes" Fluttershy said

Rarity stopped as she realized that their group was minus one mare

"Where did Patchwork run off to?"
"I'm- um, over here!" she said, waving to the two from behind a large towel that had been hung up
"Goodness, what are you doing over there?"
"Nothing..."
"Well come on out darling, we're going to the next part of the treatment"
"Oh, uh, I might stay here for a little while-"
"Nonsense" Rarity said, pulling down the towel "I'm sure what ever it is-"
Her jaw dropped as she saw Patchwork-

Her hind-right leg on the floor a few feet away

Rarity and Fluttershy screamed

Jonas fidgeted as he waited for Celestia to arrive
"Nervous much?" Feedback asked
"Kinda-"
"...well good luck with that"
"What? No sarcasm today? Not even a little smugness?"
"Eh, doesn't work on you..." he said dismissively "Well, gotta go- old Celly'll be here soon"
"Doesn't that nickname annoy her?"
"When I use it yes-" he muttered
"Remember to behave yourself"
"Yes Father" he said sarcastically

Feedback left, which left me alone for a few minutes
There was a burst of light and after it cleared, the white alicorn herself was standing in my living room

Now if only I could say that with a straight face

"Hello Celestia"
"Hello Jonas, how are you today?"
"Great! So are you ready for your big tour?"
"Yes, I must admit I've been looking forward to this for days"
"Trouble with the nobles?"

I thought I heard her mutter "You have no idea", but wasn't quite sure

I opened the door and did an over dramatic bow
"After you, your highness"
Celestia giggled, then passed, with me following

Now given the longevity of her and Luna's lifespans, you would assume that she would've seen everything- apparently not, judging by the look on her face right now.

"This- this is- very impressive to say the least..." Celestia said, stunned
"Oh, it's not much- just a little project I've been working on" I said indifferently "So, where would you like to go first?"
"Where should we start?"
"Anywhere" I gestured
"Lead the way"
I nodded and walked into the town- Celestia trailing

"Patchwork- darling- are you sure you're feeling alright?" Rarity asked, regaining her composure
"Yeah, these silly lacings are always coming loose" she said nonchalantly, picking up her severed leg "Would you happen to have a needle and thread?"
"Er, yes-"

Rarity went to her saddlebags and pulled a spool of thread and a needle out

"Here you- are"
"Thankth" she said, taking the spool in her mouth

Patchwork threaded the needle, then pierced her leg where it was severed, and laced it through the rest of her leg- she proceeded to do this several times before grabbing a loose end and pulled- connecting the leg with the rest of her body

She stood up and stomped her hind-right leg a few times

"There we go- good as new"
"D-doesn't that hurt?" Fluttershy asked
"Huh? Oh, uh- no, I've been doing that since I was a filly"
"Oh- well in that case, let's enjoy the rest of our treatment, shall we?" Rarity said, oddly calm

"How I wish I could do this in Canterlot" Celestia said, sitting on a bench

We were in the park near a playground in ToonTown, lots of trees and open space

"Yeah..."
Celestia giggled as a few Bunny Children hopped across the field, hopping around her excitedly- followed by a few foals

We left the park soon afterwards and found ourselves in a small cafe
"So peaceful here" she commented
"Yeah, you should here some of the music they play here" I said, gesturing to a small but sturdy bandstand- complete with a cello or two laying about
Celestia and I sat in the cafe, talking- when a group of crows came into the building, carrying instrument cases

"C'mon, I'll show you around"
"I was sort of hoping to stay and listen to their performance" Celestia said, motioning to the bandstand
"You don't want to hear them play, believe me"
"And why ever not?"
"Just between you and me- they can't play to save their lives"
Celestia smiled and followed me out of the cafe

"So where should we go next?" she asked
"That depends; Ventureland? Mickeyjunk Mountain perhaps?"
I prepared to head towards the jungle-village when Amy came running into view

"Amy? What's the matter?" I asked
"Your house- " she gasped "Need...get...there...emergency"

I pulled out a pair of binoculars and saw a tiny figure hovering over the Dip Refinery.

"Oh my god!"
I jumped into the air, and the wind caught my wings, I then took off towards the building- hoping I was going to make it in time

Celestia sat waiting with Amy, waiting for Jonas to return

"I'm getting worried about him" Amy said "Maybe we should go look for him?"
"Yes, perhaps we should-"

The Solar Diarch was cut off as a blue box faded into existence

"What in the world is that?"

The box flashed in and out of existence a few more times before stopping and becoming silent

Above the doors were the words "Pony Public Call Box"

The door creaked open and a brown Earth Pony stallion wearing a red tie with an hourglass for a cutie mark appeared in the doorway

"Ah, just the ponies I wanted to see- quickly quickly, get inside" He said
"Both of us? In that small box?"

The pony sighed and dragged both of them through the door, into a large room with a consol at the center
Amy gawked at the sight of this place, all of it being able to fit inside this small box?

"Go ahead and say it, almost everypony does"

Amy quickly ran out of the room and circled the box before heading back inside

"It's smaller on the outside" she finally said

The stallion frowned and shrugged
"Close enough"
"Good to see you again Doctor"
"Likewise Celestia, what's it been? 200? 300 years?"
"Yes, would you mind telling me what this intrusion is about?"
"It's not an intrusion- my TARDIS" He said, patting the consol
"The what?"
"Time And Relative Dimension In Space"
"-but you're the one who dragged us in here, now why?"
"Because my dear, I know how this is supposed to play out- and you two aren't supposed to be there when it happens"
"When what happens?"
"A great cataclysm is supposed to occur today" He said grimly
"B-but Jonas!"
"He's still out there, I know"
"You have to save him!"
"As much as I'd like to- I can't"
"Why not?"
"This is the way things are supposed to work out"
"What exactly will happen Doctor?" Celestia asked
"-I'm afraid to say..."

Twilight and her five friends were trotting past Jonas's house
"Where is Jonas? I haven't seen him almost all day" Rarity said
"Why're all those ponies runnin' away from his house?" Applejack
"Maybe it's a prank" Pinkie suggested
"Ah don't think so- look at the way the door was forced in"
"Let's go-"

Krack-crack-a-boooooooooom!

The sound of the explosion bounced off the walls of nearby houses- everypony covering their ears at the noise

"What the hay was that?" Rainbow asked
"I don't know, let's go check"

Twilight and the other mares trotted closer to the house, sizzling green liquid flowing out of the door

"Oh goodness, what happened?" Patchwork asked trotting up
"Miss, y'all better stay away from that!" Red Gala said, running towards her
"What? Why?"
"Don't y'all recognize it?"
"N-no, I don't, what is it?"
"It's Dip"

They all gasped

"But if this is the same stuff Jonas was tellin' us about, doesn't that mean-"
Applejack was cut off as a rapidly expanding dome burst out of the doorway to Jonas's house, enveloping the Elements- everypony else having run away

The wave passed over them, causing them to black out.

Beep.

Wha?

Beep. Beep.

What in tarnation is that?

Beep. Beep.

Applejack groaned and sat up, finding she was in a hospital room, another pony occupying the bed next to hers

'Somethin's off, but what?'

She looked around the room, trying to put her hoof on what was out of place

A nurse trotted into the room
'Now that's funny, why does she look so small?'

"Oh, you're awake your highness!" the mare said, bowing
"Uh, why're y'all bowin' ta me?"
"You're a princess- aren't you?"

Applejack gave her a confused look

"Ah don't know what yer talkin' about, Ah'm not-"

Applejack stopped as she looked down at herself, her hooves were abnormally long- and now, she noticed, her mane was longer than it originally was, her Stetson hat now sat uncomfortably on her head.
She went to move it, only to find an object blocking her

"Huh? I've got a horn?"
"Yes, why wouldn't you?"

'Somethin' strange is goin' on here'

Applejack moved and felt like there was something stuck to her back- she looked over her shoulder, and found a pair of wings

One.

Two.

Three.

"Land sakes! Ah'm an Alicorn!"

The irony of this story was that just a couple o f chapters I was going to mention how Jonas' powers remind me of Epic Mickey. Great game by the way.
