Trip to Equestria Land

It was a warm, windy summer that year in Equestria, and it couldn't get better for Twilight Sparkle and her friends. That summer they went everywhere, from Appleloosa, to Manehattan. All but AJ stopped working at their respective jobs, who certain times had to skip the fun activities her friends were planning, to take care of her farm.

Twilight left her library in the hands of Spike and Owlowiscious, who both rested enough along the entire year, and altough they were good friends, they never wasted the oportunity to give the other a hard time. But Twilight knew the library was in good hands and claws, so her worries were to have fun and hang out with her best friends.

As the vacations grew shorter, the six started to worry of not having the exciting adventure they were planning to have. Rainbow Dash always suggested to go to the Everfree forest in a scavenger hunt, but Flutter Shy seemed not to like the idea very much. As usual, Pinkie would suggest to throw a party, but the others have had enough parties for a life time. Then, as the last week of vacation came, the so acclaimed theme park opened, Equestria Land. The news arrived to the girls as they had breakfast at their favorite restaurant.

The warm sun glimmered through the windows and gently caressed the girl's faces, a mockingjay made its way inside, and by Flutter Shy's shoulder. All six ate what they always seemed to eat, they just came in and the cook knew exactly what to give each one of them, AJ had an apple pie with apple juice and slices of apples, Rainbow Dash a lettuce and tomatoe sandwich, Pinkie an enormous slice of chocolate cake and some candy, Twilight prefered to read some books, this time the latest Daring Doo book, and Flutter Shy ate some carrots.

"Hi girls, enjoy your meal" The waiter said with a friendly smile as he gave the six their respective meals. He then turned around to start walking, when Twilight's hand gently grabbed his arm.

"Could you be so kind to give us the newspaper?" Sparkle said in a kind way. The waiter then gave her a bigger smile and noded his head. He then went to an empty table and grabbed the newspaper, delivering it to Twilight.

As her friends but Flutter Shy devoured their breakfast, who was feeding the bird, Twilight then started reading the headlines of the Equestrian Daily, assault at a candy shop, the daffodil price went down, and after some more reading, something caught her sight, an article that stated a new theme park, opened right outside Ponyville. Visiting such thing would be fun, it said there was a big rollercoaster, some water rides, and a haunted mansion. After some analyzing, an idea grew inside her mind, to spend the last two days in the theme park's hotel, and to have some wild adventure.

"Hey girls, I think I have a good idea of where we could spend these last vacation days" She said as she flipped the newspaper around for her friends to see.

Her friends started reading the article as they made gestures with their faces, while Pinkie Pie hopped around the restaurant without reason.

"The theme park opened, so what are the big news?" Rainbow Dash wondered.

"Don't you see? A theme park, and we have three days left of summer, don't you think it would be a good idea to spend tomorrow and the day after enjoying the rides and stuff?"

"Oh yeah, you are right, that seems like a pretty good idea" Rainbow Dash said, liking the idea of riding some rollercoasters.

"Yes I know, we could spend a night there, at the hotel" Twilight said excited that her friends were liking the idea "And I read there is this haunted mansion, that is opened all day"

That last sentence made Flutter Shy flinch, so did everything unexpected that happened in her life.

"Oh my, well I don't know Twilight, that seems scary" Flutter Shy muttered, lowering her body underneath the table, scared "I don't like spooky things"

"Oh come on Flutter Shy, it will be fun! besides, the house is probably not that scary, at least for me" She said proudly, as Applejack sighed.

"I think its a great idea, but who is going to take care of my sister and her friends, I am certain Spike isn't a good option, after what happened that time with his babysitting job" Rarity stated, trying to think of someone responsible enough to take care of the young girls.

"Why don't we take them with us, that way is going to be more fun!" An enthusiastic Pinkie said, hovering trough the air.

"Yeah, I think they are old enough to not give us any problems" Twilight said. Her friends except Pinkie, who was busy remembering funny stuff and giggling, wildly turned their heads towards her, astonished. Twilight then realized what she just said wasn't entirely true "Ok, ok, they can still give us a hard time, but I think they would like to go as much as we do"

All what they wanted to do was to have fun for the last few days they had to go out, and they wanted the trip to Equestria Land to be memorable, but they also realized that almost all summer they ignored them, and that the girl's vacations were rather boring, so they saw Twilight's point, Applebloom, Sweetie Belle and Scootaloo may get in trouble all the time, but they still were part of their big family, and family supported each other.

"Ah guess taking them with us isn't such a bad idea" Applejack stated.

"Yeah, they are friends after all" Rainbow Dash said.

"Plus, they are sixteen now, what can they possibly do at such age?" Rarity chuckled, but when she remembered the broken sewing machines, the damaged barn, and everything they did last week, her chuckles slowly faded away "Never mind, they can still be pretty destructive" She said, making her friends laugh out loud.

After they all finished laughing, they decided to go to their respective homes to rest and prepare everything they were going to need for the two days at Equestria Land.

The day after that, early in the morning, they all gathered in front of Twilight's tree house, waiting for the carriage to arrive. The Apples carried just the necessary, so did Rainbow. Rarity brought with her a pile of bags and cases.

"Is all this necessary, Rarity?" Rainbow Dash asked her white friend.

"Oh my yes, these are clothes, those are perfumes, and make up and shoes, I just brought the necessary" Rarity answered.

"Yeah right" Rainbow muttered to herself.

Everyone but the Apples wore heavy coats due to the freezing cold temperature that took place before sunrise.

"Oh my, it is really cold now in the morning, do you have any more sweaters in your backpack Sweetie Belle? I'm freezing here" Rarity said shivering, as her teeth loudly chattered.

"It isn't so cold y'all, try swimming inside the Big Lake inside Sweet Apple Acres, after you do that, you will understand cold" Applejack firmly said.

Twenty minutes passed until a large carriage came across the corner and stopped in front of everyone. The carriage was driven by a tall and strong looking man, middle aged man, and pulled by six black and grey stallions.

"I'm here to take you to Equestria Land, ladies, hop on and let me do the work" The man said with deep voice

It took them five minutes to load every bag Rarity brought with herself, meanwhile Scootaloo got close to the stallions, admiring them.

"These are pretty horses you got here sir" She said still amazed by their beauty

"Those are ponies young lady, small horses, but really strong and brave, that's why I prefer them" The driver smiled at her

Scootaloo couldn't take her eyes off the horses, they just looked familiar, like if she had seen them before, but there was a connection between them, and she noticed the ponies felt something too.

The ponies looked at the young girl with big eyes, they were getting closer to each other more and more, wondering, analyzing, and they just felt linked to each other, but that connection was broken as Applebloom pulled her into the carriage.

"What were you doing down there?" Applebloom asked "You looked like on a trance or something"

"It-it, it was nothing" She said, Applebloom looking away to talk to her sister "It was nothing" She whispered.
