Icing On The Cake

Prologue

The short blue filly bobbed up and down. She jumped all the way to her best friend's house, eager to tell him the news.

She burst in the door. "Guess what?"

The young colt tuned around, a large pie in his hooves. He looked just as happy to see her. "What's up, Cup?" They both giggled at his usual greeting.

"I got myself a colt friend!" She bobbed up and down around him.

His smile faded, if only for a moment. "Really? Who?"

She giggled. "You know that one unicorn? The one who saved that one filly?"

Carrot rolled his eyes. "The colt you've been obsession about for WEEKS?"

She enthusiastically nodded.

"Well, I'm happy he said yes. Who asked who?"

Her checks flushed a bright red, deeper than her rose-colored eyes. "He asked me! But shhhh! Be quiet! I don't want a lot of ponies to know. I'm going to tell Fanny right now."

She giggled all the way out.

He shrugged a little.

If only she knew.
