That night happened to be tonight. So I've updated Half-Sisters, and while I'm not happy with the finished product nor the impending anxiety of the reaction, there is a sweetness to it. Hopefully, I don't go ahead and cancel it again but don't put it past me.

Half-Sisters is cancelled. I've been stalled for well over a month and I just decided that there is no need for me to keep the story as incomplete and decided to officially cancel it. I might post the somewhat complete first chapter in another blog post but no promises. I'm sorry I was never able to complete it.

So today I started and finished writing the new first chapter of the rewrite. I'm pretty happy with it right now which means I will hate it in three days. However, I think its a definite improvement from the original, largely because I'm taking the time to develop the characters instead of just jumping right into a fight scene.

Reason 1: I wanted to focus on completing High School especially since my English grade was much lower than expected.

Reason 2: I recently moved to Louisiana and I'm still adjusting.

Reason 3: My dad wants me to get a job so I'm also in the process of doing that.

Reason 4: I'm writing another story right now that I believe could be better.

So I'm rewriting chapter 4. I felt that I needed to go in another direction because several chapters devoted to backstory just wouldn't be fun to read. I may write some side-stories but I first want to actually upload chapter 4.

So judging by the comments, most people thought that the backstory section was done. Well, there is like at least 3 more chapters of backstory. Its my fault that most people thought this though, so there will be a disclaimer at the start of chapter 4 notifying you. This has probably been the main reason for the delay. Thanks for your understanding.

Thanks to everyone who has liked and favorited Half-Sisters! It has quickly become my most popular story so I can't thank you all enough. However, with that comes a lot of pressure for the ensuing chapters to be good. I've been working hard and I have roughly completed the next two chapters. Once I get a few edits done, they will be posted for you all to enjoy. Chapter 2 is set to be released tomorrow and Chapter 3 during the weekend.
