Just a quick status update to let you know that I've gotten into the school groove so I'll be able to work my writing more concretely into my schedule and get back to writing in earnest. Also, I've got some cool stuff planned for Twilight's sub-plot in The Chance of a Lifetime, and when my financial aid refund money comes in I may actually pay for some proper cover art for the story. I GOT APPROVED BY EQD! Huzzah! However, with that approval also comes another round of fixes, mostly grammatical but a few content related ones that I'll need to get done while I wait for The Chance of a Lifetime to get up there. I'll be taking a break from Ch. 4 to do that.

So, I'm probably gonna be a few days late on Ch. 4. It's been a weird past few days and I haven't gotten much writing done, but I know where I'm going with this chapter so that's good. So, once again, I am bad with date setting. I couldn't wait any longer to finish my new chapter before re-submit, and I decided that it would be better to just show the chapters that the pre-reader has seen before so they could better look for the issues I fixed. Chapter 2 has been revised, which means only Chapter 3 and then I'll put up all the revisions at once. I had to change more for this one than for Ch. 1 because there were a few things that I didn't like on a second read through. Mainly, Sweetie Belle's little speech has been changed to be a little more age appropriate for her vocabulary, and Rarity's reaction has been toned down to boot (it did seem a little over the top, after all.)

The Good News: As far as I can tell, they didn't have anything wrong with the story itself, just with how I was writing. This is the first time EQD hasn't had a problem with content in my stories, so YAY for that. With some grammatical and pacing fixes, hopefully it'll get up to snuff. It's been quite a while since I've done this, but here's hoping! I just submitted The Chance of a Lifetime to EQD for their pre-readers to go over, so I should have word back within a few days as to whether it got in or what I need to work on.
