It’s not perfect but it’s finished. I got to move on or I will stall forever it seems. It's not 100% but it's done. Long Live the King final chapters are now live. I'll probable come back later with another blog post with a look back on the story and how it feels to finally be done with it.
On Chapter 7; Magic In Magic Out, Snow Day, A Little Change (Now Live)
I’m a little worried about the pacing for chapter 7. Or more importantly if Sombra’s character has changed too quickly. I’m probably right, if I’m worrying about it then something’s probably off. I hope that’s just me, and it’s not too glaring for readers all the same.
Writing, writing, writing, rawhide!
I don't have much to mention. Only that I wrote out a big chunk of Chapter 7 today (it's definitely gone over the time I spent writing chapter 6). To a point which it will, no doubt now, will be split into two parts: “Magic In/Magic Out” and “Snow Day” for a more comfortable reading experience.
I clocked myself today at six (6) hours of writing and achieved roughly a new 3,500 words. So woo! That's an new academy achievement!

Welcome to the blog. A fanfic blog. ...Ok, that’s good enough.
So far this week, Ch. 7 ‘Snow Day’ is coming along nicely. Nothing much else to report really. 
Except for the question - Does eating pizza cause lucid dreams? Because man! Did I have some weird yu-gi-oh style card battle dream last night - but the players dualed by drawing on paper for a judge who’d decide the winner by a loose set of rules. Weird! And interesting!
Can I hear you say, ‘ah another chapter!’
Chapter 6 ‘Into The Dark Of The Night” is live. That’s pretty good if I do say so myself. A return to form like when i first started. Probable even better really as this chapter took approximately 8 days to write up and do an initial edit on. Not too shabby. =^-^=

I'm thinking...If there's one thing I may need to go over once the story is done it's Cadance’s character and influence on the story...hmm. Ostensible, she’s the Gaston of the story. (Still haven’t used that line, “No one does love, like Cadance.” Cadance said.)
And, aah….Ch. 5 is haunting me still….aahh. Not particularly happy with it but it felt necessary to kick the story forward...where o where art thou noble editors and critics…
Will I or will I not l not split ch. 6 up into two sections. That's the question.
I’ve read stories with 10,000 words in a chapter and it can be quite the trek to get through I know. So yeah, thinking to keep my chapters away from hitting over the mark in a single chapter.
Writing, writing, writing faerie princess!
Been working on chapter 6 and 7. At least half way done with chapter 6. Actually, maybe more so now than I think about it. Give me another 2 days of solid writing and it should be done. Then editing! Yay :P
Life feels weird sometimes. When you’re just sitting there, sitting around, doing nothing, going/thinking hmm….maybe I should be doing something...I could be, but what?
I’m of the mindset of ‘yeah, nah, bugger it. I’ll just write it and see what happens.’ At this time.
A bit earlier then usual for today’s blog post. But I felt like it.
Had the last few days off from writing as finishing chapter 5 really took it’s mental toll on me. Gah.
Chapter 6 is coming along smoothly though. If I keep up the pace I’ve set and write a bit each day I can potentially get the next chapter down in about in 4-5 days. Or approximately 500-1500 words a day at best.
And magic, how?

Chapter 4.5 "Before the Line" (working title, may change when made live) is...kind of almost done. I wanted it to be a relatively short chapter so I could upload in with chapter 5. At the moment, I've written it out in three parts and I've been reading over it and it feels like it could use some more words and... just generally more. (Boo..)
5:00pm (or near enough, close enough), time for an update!
Phew. Chapter 1 to 4 have been updated and edits are live now. Averaging around 500 new words for each chapter. Chapter 4 has the biggest changes made to it. Nothing too game changing I'm hoping, as in chapter 4.5 I will be (re)addressing/visiting bits that were mentioned.
Not 100% confident with what I've done so far but feeling good none the less. Chapter 4.5 is taking shape while Chapter 5 eagerly awaits to be made live.
*groans* Celebrate. *hands in air*
Ch. 5 “At the Line” is done - needs a bit of cut and polish though. The next chapter 6 will, with any luck, write itself as it wont be dealing with all that noise that was Ch.5. Fingers crossed it wont be too...horrible to read when I publish it. It feels like I’ve written a lot of different branches of the story so i'm optimistic that I picked something of readable interest (to me) at least.
Eh
I thought Chapter 4 was a slog. But 5 is proving rather the task. There's one section of the chapter that I'm not happy with yet. (which is causing me to rethink a lot of the story's direction) There's a shift in the story and I want to it seem natural and not just 'suddenly' forced into the direction I want it to go. I am currently playing around with some writing for a chapter between 4, and what would be 5, to try and ease (or foreshadow) the events of chapter 5.
Feeling rather relieved as of late, on the art/writing side of life stuff.
A year and half and chapter 4 is finally here :P Damn! Can't believe it's been that long!
After much editing and many a days Chapter 4 is...somewhat complete. Though it's been rather difficult to get together thanks to me being all sorts of all over the place with depression and crap...I'm happy with what's been done thus far.
Not only is chapter 4 here but there's been a lot of editing in the previous chapters as well that I've put up today.
Phew that's that done. Ch.3 is complete. Rejoice!
Thankfully not too long either. With the main focus of chapter 3 in Canterlot it didn't seem like the right decision to be going back and forth between what was happening there and the Crystal Empire. Just to avoid any confusion I cut out the Crystal Empire bits to move into chapter 4. Otherwise chapter 3 would be well over 10,000 words and that felt like a bit to get through in one chapter.
