On the one hand, "No Escape From Yourself" hasn't been updated since May 2015 and is way overdue.

On the other, "Elements of Opposition" is more popular and has more people hanging on it waiting for updates.

Decisions, decisions...

New chapter of No Escape From Yourself is up. In which Discord is a fluffy pillow, Twilight eats a bacon, Fluttershy has feels, and Rainbow Dash proves she is awesomer than she thinks she is.

While I've written some stuff that takes place in the future in the story and blogged it, the new chapter won't contain any of that, because we're still not there yet. After this one I'll have one short (Discord's journal entry) and one long, and then we go to the moon after that.

So I write one thing, and in that thing, I include a concept -- practically a throwaway line, certainly not the centerpiece of the thing.

Then I expand on that throwaway concept, make it its own full-size thing. And within that new thing, I have a small concept, not a big deal, not the point of the new thing.

So I lied when I said Discord was off probation by the time he went to the moon.

I actually have this whole chapter written now (when I was supposed to be writing other things, of course), but I won't be able to release it until I actually get to that part. So here is a sneak preview.

I now know exactly what the Elements of Disharmony would be useful for. Totally useless to an evil Discord who wants to take over the world. Disharmony can't work together, by its nature, that's why it's disharmony. And that is what disharmony is useful for -- checking power that would otherwise be absolute.
