It all started with noticing that a file I downloaded had a .exe extension rather than the .jar that I expected. Coming from a rather shady download website, I suspected something was up when bringing up the file properties showed that the supposed pixel art generator jarfile was actually a "downloader".

I'm typing this from my phone because my computer browser is totally screwed up.

Just minutes after posting the latest chapter to My Sister Cozy Glow today, my browser suddenly blacked out. When I reopened it, Google Chrome defaulted to Yahoo search page. I tried to change it in the settings, but it still went straight to Yahoo. And ads were popping everywhere. The same is true for Microsoft Edge.

Figured out where the breach in my hotmail came from. Somehow my phone got infected with malware pretending to be another carrier. They got my email and by proxy my facebook. I booted them last night and secured my account. May do a factory reset, but honestly, a new phone's probably in order. My old number's been deactivated for a while. That's probably why they weren't able to do more damage. Regardless, glad I figured it out. Last thing I needed was for it to get any worse.
