I don't know what I hoped this chapter to be but it clearly wasn't this. A chapter which is a long extended fight scene with only a quick resolution of P-21's arc at the end. The thing that should have been the focus was barely mentionned and yet I have a ton of things to say about it and about the end of the "Deus Arc" so to speak. What happened, Somber ? How can you go from making interesting little moments to something so... absolutely convoluted and unnecessarily dark ? Nothing in this chapter works ! The sex tape memory orb ? The massacre of a settlement just for the damn sake of it ? The fact that despite having one eye and four braces, there is NO difference in how BJ acts or in the things she can do ? She fucking lifted a pony in a power armor with her bare hooves ! From plans that makes no sense, to Blackjack defeating with dumb luck one of the most terrifying foe yet while trusting without a shred of logic obvious shady people. So, this chapter does explain a lot of things. Some things are still as stupid as ever and some other are a bit different than I thought they would be. Also, and I am guilty of all charges, the whole fight sequence near the end is something that I had a really hard time to go through. While I have grown completely dull to the constant fights that Project Horizons have, I have to admit that, at the very least, we do continue to advance the story in meaningful ways and it is something that I need to point out as a big positive. No more meandering jog on a threadmill for now it seems. As for P-21 suicide attempt, I have conflicted feelings about it but I'll try to vocalize them.

Finally, the story is advancing ! Finally a real moment of intensity with stakes and even an actual dilemma that makes sense and isn't completely contrived ! Praise the Goddesses ! Sure, there are a lot of issues with this chapter as per usual but I will not lie that it actually does make the story advance and give some interesting challenges to the heroes. It is not perfect but damn does it makes the whole thing go somewhere for once.

How can I call this kind of chapter where I am both happy to have been right regarding the obvious abuse that this telekinetic bullet was going to have and sad that the Enclave are now back to essentially be sky nazis like they were in Fallout:Equestria ? This chapter isn't really one that stands out, it's a "business as usual" kind of chapter where our precious Blackjack is able to see the Enclave for the true scum they are unlike Glory and where she... well, more on the rest in a moment.

This chapter feels like business as usual. BJ fucked up so she angst. BJ's motto is "I angst therefore I am" and it is getting kind of repetitive. It's always the same thing, she'll beat herself up and then she'll be fine in a matter of hours. This character is stuck in a loop and we're almost 700K words in. I'm willing to wait a long time but I don't have much hope that this character will become something else even if I'm not at the halfway point yet.
