I decided to release the 7th chapter to The Runaway Bodyguard, Celestial Encounter, early. Please don't be bashful about leaving comments. In this chapter, Starlight learns something critical from her enemy that will affect the rest of her life.

I got another upvote! The 6th chapter in The Runaway Bodyguard was released early, today, Thursday. Starlight recognizes somepony in Canterlot. Is she being followed?

Since Friday is tomorrow, I will release two chapters next week without fail on Tuesday and Friday. If I get lots of comments and upvotes, I might be convinced to release a third on Sunday.

The 5th chapter in The Runaway Bodyguard was released on Friday. Starlight learns something about world and self-image while experiencing the Pullpony service on the train to Canterlot.

While applying the final polish on The Runaway Bodyguard (new chapter Fridays), I noticed that “weasel words” had crept back into my writing. It’s not that “I started to notice that my writing is long winded,” it’s that, “I noticed that my writing is long winded,” and came to accept that, “My writing is long winded.” When a publisher first returned a manuscript for revision, the editor pointed out this tendency.

I’ve spent much of the week so far negotiating for the cover art and proofing early chapters. Publication will start March 19th. I’ve been writing The Runaway Bodyguard for over a year. It’s funny how I don’t remember much about the early chapters, though I clearly wrote them. There’s the old adage in writing, throw the chapters in the drawer. When you next find them, you see the typos and the flaws. Yes. Quite true.
