Sketch art is cool. This was the concept I okayed for my cover.

Glimmy? Is this the episode about Glimmy?
A Portal opens again for no reason.
Stars? So they're on the opposite side of the planet?
So, together tree doesn't just connect to other trees, it can just teleport you wherever?
Misty makes it about herself again. Obviously.
"I've never been in snow before." Yeah, I imagine living on top of molten lava would do that to you.
Izzy is the only one who can't walk.
Sparky tried to make an angel. He made a demon instead.
In case anyone is wondering, that text on the side is a combination of short stick fuþark, elder fuþark, and medieval fuþark. It reads "HKS AURORA DANSARI" If anyone is available to correct my icelandic I'd really appreciate it.
I was finally able to figure out who to put in a background I have completed a month (or two) ago. She even comes with her little poem.
After so many nights spent in clubs,
Lights blazing, crowds partying,
A healthy dose of wubs,
Tonight was the time for relaxing.
A concert of lights,
The sound of silence,
The time was right,
For a show that would fill her essence.
It started with hues of red and green,
HOLY COW, I didn't think I'd ever get this much of her design down. Needless to say she is not quite what I had originally invisioned when I first made this story. In some ways she is a lot more like the ship she was inspired by (the Cleveland Class Cruiser). I had originally intended she just have 6 guns in 3 turrets (2 fore, 1 aft, mirrored) in the end I went with the original triple gun turrets, and had 2 aft, 2 fore (mirrored on the bottom) pushing her total to 24 guns.
The Runaway Bodyguard is now published and is in weekly serialization. Come along for the thrill ride as Starlight runs away from the life of a noble to Baltimare to make a life where she's in control. She wants to study magic and be left alone, but the world won't cooperate. She becomes an athlete, a prizefighter, and eventually becomes naively entangled with the eastern Equestrian mob and unwittingly controlled by
Hey everybody, just a brief final update on the TTE publishing. This project should've been done several months ago, but unlike all my others, a global pandemic kinda put a wrench into finishing on time. But after months of frustrating COVID delays, I have finally received and shipped the US copies of TTE. This means this everyone living here in the US should see their book within a week or so of today, or maybe slightly longer if you're one of the Alaska or Hawaii books.
In the Enforcer and Her Blackmailers, I hinted at Starlight Glimmer's sketchy past, which allows her to be blackmailed. She starts the story with PTSD thanks to epic life and death battles, and hints at how she was a gangland bodyguard, the best of the best, until her patron became too stupid to live. The TV series depicts her as an unusually competent fighter, and magically stronger than Twilight Sparkle.
Set your Calendars. Cause you will never see Rainbows the same way again 😈

B/C I haven't done a post like this in a while and I'm watching Frozen II in my room rn via Disney+
It'll be, like, a giant infodump on Pokemon Aurora and Wave. I'm dead serious. Be ready for it. Might not come out today, might not even come out tomorrow. But it's coming. And when it gets here...
...hold onto your asses; this will be my longest blog yet.
(Also, it's not final, so any changes you want will be noted)
Hey pones, got some good news for once in this dreadful year.
We faced some delays getting our hands on the art, and with printing of the Through the Aurora hardcover. But the misery is over now, the artists are finished, and I have this awesome book in my hands!
Last one of these till next chapter.
Wanted to know if i better conveyed the curve of the ship.
Yeah, she has curves! Aurora Dancer is a cylinder (not including the turrets and towers and stuff) with her front end pinched to a vertical edge (the right side).
Some other info:
Those blue bits are to indicate where thrusters are.
UPDATE: Thanks! Chapter 4 — On the Lamb is posted. The Runaway Bodyguard has a minimum of 49 chapters, 47 completed except for polishing. If I receive an upvote prior to Friday, I’ll release an extra chapter.
I was recently commissioned to create a custom plush of Aurora Starling, an original character with some very interesting hair colors:
She also has heterochromia (one purple eye and one blue eye), though it's kinda hard to see from these pictures.
Hey everyone, just wanted to pass the message on that the Through the Aurora hardcover print is just above done fundraising. We smashed our goal, and the book will still be made, though probably a little delayed given the global pandemic.
