"Black light" is actually just ultraviolet, but our eyes can't see it, hence why it still appears dark.

Tests have shown that blue light has an adverse effect on sleeping habits, which is why some OSs such as iOS (I think) and Windows 10 now have "night modes" that reduce the blue light output by the display.

Fire burns in different colors depending on what the fuel is.

A modern smartphone is more powerful than all the world's best supercomputers from the 1950s combined. And that's only for a tiny fraction of their cost.

Y'know how in software, the terms "i386" and "x86-64" are thrown around a lot? That's because i386 was the name of Intel's 386 processor, which was the first to support 32 bit x86 software. x86-64 was developed by AMD as a 64-bit extension to i386.

Floppy disks are actually still very convenient when you can't boot from usb or a dvd drive.

Speaking of floppies, Sony invented the 3.5 inch floppy disk.

Many plastics containing a certain fire retardant chical turn yellow over time due to exposure to UV rays.

Sony invented the 3.5" foppy disk, and Apple was one of the first to use it.

Apple for a short time also developed their own floppy disk technology, dubbed "The Twiggy Diskette" by many. Early Mac prototypes used the drive, but both the twiggy disk and drive were discontinued due to cost, as well as the fact that nobody wanted it.

ARM, as in the processor architecture, used to stand for "Acorn RISC Machine", as the CPU was originally developed by Acorn Computers. After the company was dissolved into multiple subsidiaries, ARM Holdings, which controlled the use of the ARM IP, changed the name to "Advanced RISC Machine", as Acorn Computers no longer existed.
