Alrighty, let's get into it! (AND THIS TIME I DIDN'T FORGET! )
Microsoft wasn't actually Bill Gates' first business. That award goes to Traf-O-Data, which, as the name implies, was a company that analyzed data from traffic counters.
The garage that Apple started in didn't have Windows.
Proof:
Xerox, yes, the printer company, was actually the first to pioneer the GUI, or "Graphical User Interface" that you see on practically every computer now. The debate over Microsoft or Apple copying each other for the GUI is a complete falsehood, as they both copied from Xerox.
Radioshack's TRS-80 line of computers were at first famously known for the massive amount of electrical interference they gave out.
Compaq actually beat IBM to creating the first "portable" PC, though at the size of a suitcase, and weighing tens of pounds, it ended up becoming the first in a long series of "luggable" PCs.
Alrighty now. As for updates, I'm gonna be sticking to one story per day this week, 'cause I'm gonna begin working some more on multiple currently unpublished fics, ranging from the 100 follower special to Shattered Rainbow.
