The first ever computer "bug" was a moth that short-circuited a mainframe's motherboard after landing on two contacts.
What made them want to sell to valve?
4460642 Notch said that he couldn't handle running Mojang after it grew to such big of a size, so he began looking for people who'd buy Mojang from him. He didn't want to sell to Valve because if I remember, he didn't like their business practices.
