Except for my aborted project "Ponyfication Nation," all the fics I've posted have reached the feature box.

Just letting everyone know work does proceed at a slow but steady pace for the next chapter of Lost Little Wolf. Though I'm not getting as much done as I'd really like, I'm not suffering any sort of writer's block with this one like I did the last one.

I'd say I'm about 1/4-1/3 the way done with this chapter.

As the title says, the results are in. Lost Little Wolf once again dominated with 58% of the vote. This also means that when the next poll goes up (in 2-3 weeks most likely if history is any indicator) that LLW will be ineligible for voting. Savor the upcoming chapter, my larvae, 'cause it'll have to tide the Swarm over for a month or so.

So after events have conspired to make me late on this f***ing chapter yet again, I've decided this damn thing is getting done tomorrow, even if that means posting a horrendously short thing that I will hate myself for in the morning. This chapter is robbing me of all momentum and it's starting to piss me off.

Yesterday after about 10 AM or so I was attacked by the most intense bout of flightiness and flakiness I have ever experienced. ADD and ADHD sufferers will understand what I'm talking about. (though I won't pretend to that level on a daily basis, even if enough "mental health professionals" tried to force me into that box before my depression was diagnosed) I just couldn't focus on anything for even a single minute.

Back when I set my personal goal to release a chapter today, I had ample opportunity to notice my tax preparer appointment was the day before Taco Tuesday and the day after a late night conference call.

Aiming for Monday this time. In the meantime, enjoy some Horsegirl shenanigans...

I'm happy to report that, though I can't yet post a chapter, I was able to get 1,500 words chunked out. This chapter is turning out to be a bit of a transitional piece (rather appropriate given the title), and it provides lots of content and a hung lampshade or two, it may be somewhat low on plot. I am hoping to squeeze in one or two important bits before I wrap it up, though.

Goal now reset to Tuesday, so expect an update by then at the very least.

As an author, there occasionally frequently comes a time when one must look at something you've spent quite a bit of time crafting that is great and works well, but doesn't let you tell the story you want to tell. Once you determine that, you need to ax that part, or it will turn into a festering sore that ruins any further work, no matter how good those sections are.

So after nearly two weeks of very frustrating writer's block, I squeezed out a few moments to take up Admiral Q Ponyform on the offer to help brainstorm. While the interaction was short, it was somewhat effective, in that I now have some notion of what the next plot hook gets to look like for the main character to proceed through the next phases of the story.

Work will proceed, and I'll be keeping everyone updated.

So I'm having this problem.

The start of Lost Little Wolf was fairly simple and easy to write, if not necessarily easy on the emotions.

I have several plot points I want to get to and some scenes blocked out, including the Night of the Summer Sun Celebration (ep. 1&2), A Canterlot Wedding (Season 2 finale), a few things in the middle of all that, and a massive event that takes place around the same time as the end of Season 6.
