Well, after much deliberating, much writing, and many discussions, I believe I have come up with the best of all possible roads for this story to take. It combines almost everything I wanted without pulling too many things out of my ass to make it work. I'm joking... sort of. I'll let you guys be the judge of that.
Hey guys, sorry about that last cliffhanger.... well, not really. I was sustained on your tears alone for the last few days. However, I am sorry the next chapter is taking so long. You see, I had it written out, then I went into talks with my editor about the progression of the final chapters of the story. We bounced a few ideas back and forth, but discussing things really made me stop and think about how exactly everything was going to go.
This is one of those good news bad news situations. Bad news: due to circumstances beyond my control, I don't have internet... Or cable for that matter, so no new episode for me. I've actually had this problem since Monday but was hoping we might have it corrected shortly. (5 bucks says after i post this, tomorrow i'll have internets again.)
So this guy keeps reminding me that Flashimmer was canon. And we all know, you can't argue with canon.

He said with less enthusiasm than he had intended. I really wanted to put up this chapter today. I really wanted to. I thought it would be great to post Sunset’s backstory on the anniversary of the story as a whole. Poetic irony or something like that.
I failed.
I was about halfway through when I realized that, it just wasn’t working. It didn’t make enough sense with what I had set up and what I had wanted to do. So, I had to scrap it and start over.
You know, I could make so many jokes and just go full narcissist on you guys. I could spend the whole blog making comments like "Oh that's cute, someone tried to make Long Road to Friendship into a movie" or "Long Road to Friendship is the story Rainbow Rocks wishes it was." But, I fear karma, so I'll keep my narcissistic jokes to a bare minimum.
You realize you're like a month late with this, right?
...For the next twelve hours.
After that, screw continuity! Hahahahahaahaha!
Remember: no spoilers please. The author won't be able to see the movie until it's ripped onto youtube. And since he's spoiled prat, he won't watch it until it's the good quality, not the trembling hand cameras with the broken sound.

Well, it's been a whole month since I've done anything pony productive! Well, not entirely true, I have a notebook filled with thoughts and scenes for my stories, so I've not been completely out of action. Still, having internet restricted only to your Iphone kinda sucks. There's only so much you can do and writing isn't one of them.
The school year is winding down. I only have three days worth of finals left before I'm free. Three and a half months of family, friends, and fan-fiction! Are you excited? I'm excited! So much to do, so much to write, and soon, I'll have all the time I want.
So, here's the plan... That's right, I've actually got one.
As much as I enjoy seeing whenever someone has favorited this story, the feeling pales in comparison to whenever I get a new comment. This odd tale now has 1,000 plus comments and I smile to myself every time I see it. I read them over and over, and still never tire, even the less pleasant ones. They let me know you're reading. You're paying attention. You're invested in someway or another. And they're what I look forward to the most whenever I post a new chapter.
I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas or any other holiday you may or may not celebrate. I spent some nice time with my family and got to relax with one of my favorite games: The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess. I also got an Iphone for Christmas, which was pretty awesome because I was totally not expecting it! I downloaded a Google Drive app, so now, I can work on my stories from anywhere! So tech. Much convenient. Wow.

Long Road to Friendship has gotten a very nice following behind it (still can't say thank you enough) and quite a few of you guys keep pointing out, or are hoping for, instances of magic in the story. Now, I'm pretty much set on the path I want the story to take, and there isn't that much magic down the road. But, there is a genre of story I've always wanted to try and write.
