The Alpha 1 draft of The Dusk Guard Saga: Hunter/Hunted now has ten chapters. Things are happening. I figure this one will be about 30 chapters or so, and probably the shortest of all the DG main entries. On the plus side, it'll be done in another month or two. Less, if I can spend less time at my part-time job. That means selling more books, though, because despite what some people think, authors do need food.

Just a quick update, most of which you can gather from the title, but the The Dusk Guard Saga: Hunter/Hunted Alpha is now at 7 chapters, or about 47,000 words. Roughly 130-odd pages? 130-odd pages of Steel, Hunter, Dawn, Sky Bolt, Sabra, and Nova doing ... stuff.

Moving along at a good clip, in other words. Hopefully I'll be able to get another chapter and a half done this week.

In-Progress Alpha readers, chapter 5 is now up. You know who you are. And what to do!

Writing 2000 words for a Sabra chapter: six hours.

Writing 2000 words for a Hunter chapter: one hour.

Yup. Sabra is definitely the hardest character to write by far.

Whew! After almost a week (I was juggling this project alongside my part-time, remember) I have finished going through The Dusk Guard: Rise, and making a number of fixes and tweaks.
