My brain is weird. It makes these really creepy/confusing plot devices or creatures that seem logical at the time. This is just a starting point.
First one:
Fic
Something that can give birth to itself, transferring most of its/hers memories through. Obviously, the creature can't be male. Based of that one polyp that can alternate between a larval state and an adult state.
Loki goes and whacks various Marvel characters with the 25 year long wiffle bat.
Have a class, which you basically looks at movies and learn about some techniques and editing and stuff.
Started wondering what if someone's super power is mild 4th wall acknowlesgement, and the ability to abuse Cheat Cuts.
Ex.
(Assume this is a movie)
Some person in a bar. Idly swirling a drink with a straw. After several sips, notices he is running low. Drops a few bills and calls for bartender. Bartender still attending other people. Annoyed, he snaps his fingers.
Creature
I always felt that having a brain in one part of the body seems to leave a really venerable spot to protect. Instead of having grey matter completely concentrated in one area (aka head), parts of the brain are somewhat spread out across the nervous system, though still a bit higher than the center of mass. This might slow the brain's processing speed, though that is traded off for the ability of being somewhat more coordinated.
A bit of thinking about spell mechanics in the Dresden world.
Those "Force Rings" Dresden uses store a bit of kinetic energy from swinging his arm, for later use. Who said that it has to be generated by human forces?
Why not stick it to the end of a gun, to both reduce recoil and sound, to charge up a damage boost for pistol whipping?
Sledgehammer?
Drop it next to a live grenade, and hold it down with a heavy spike?
Can you store different forces?
Heat Energy?
Lamborghini is a Minotaur
Ferrari is an Earth Pony
They hate each other's guts.

Based on idle speculation that someone mentioned that guns became popular because you don't really need to train someone to be good at it. Just point, shoot, fire.
In Equestria, I'm pretty sure someone would've figured out a way to enchant some piece of a crossbow that allows it to magically accelerate the "bolt" on trigger pull. Voila, long range "gun" but not really. And you don't even need gunpowder, just a unicorn or whatever that can enchant stuff.
tldr: Maxwell's Demon is a theoretical door that can make a enclosed system (insulated box, isolated room, etc) colder by letting colder molecules in, and blocking it when it tries to bounce out, and vice versa for hot molecules.
Nothing is this precise IRL.

Regarding the trope that shotguns appear to be useless after 10 feet or so, and magically turn into cotton balls.
Instead of trying to balance around rock paper scissors style when shotguns are portrayed side by side with assault rifles, machine guns, and the like, this would be a game dedicated to shotgun porn. Some sort of leveling system to unlock newer shotguns, though there's still the occasional non-shotgun weapon if you really want to snipe people.
Undead in space. They don't need to worry about life support. Pressurization, radiation, or sublimation.

No, it's not going to be happening anytime soon. It's a sequel idea bouncing around that won't be started until after I finish writing several centuries down the timeline, and there really isn't much of a plot built yet besides zombies in space. The only thing I have for it right now is a tentative title: "Haunted Sky"
What if two people had their mind switched, but not their bodies?
Example: Person A's mind is stuck in Person B, but still controls Person A. Therefore, Person A still controls the same body, but receives sensory signals from Person B's body. Same for Person B, who now looks through Person A's eyes at his body, which B still controls.
So I just finished reading a series, titled the "Grimnoir Chronicles," by Larry Corelia(?)
Long story short, Magic appears on Earth in the mid 1800's to no apparent reason for the average folk. In reality, some sort of space whale noodly thing gave humans magic, who "get stronger" over time, and when they die, harvest the energy. The reason for this is because it is on the run from a giant alien blob thing that wants to eat Earth.
Ok, first off, I just woke up from a nightmare about this, so how logical this would be is questionable. Also, it wasn't even a horcrux in the dream.
Basically, "Evil Guy" had some ability where if he touches a person, he can't die unless the touched one is killed first. He is also a person in a job that apparently involves a lot of handshaking, so dream Me needed to go around all over the place evading him while madly assassinating random peeps before he could catch up/get more targets.
Jonathan Swift, in Gulliver's Travels, wrote of a civilized race of horses called "Houyhnhnms" (I've always heard it pronounced "Wyn-hims"). Some, back in the early days of MLP, claimed that this made him the very first ponyfic author. This fic would take that idea and run with it.

I went down a dig through One Piece fanfics, and something popped out at me, in regards to Peggy Sue fics.
First of all, for those who don’t know, Peggy Sue refers to a situation where the main character somehow time travels from near the end of the story to the beginning of the adventure. Say, Ch 100 back to Ch 1.
It is known that in Chess, what color you play as is not equal. White, going first, has a slight advantage.
One “solution” I’ve seen around is various forms of “Real Time Chess.”
First off, we assume that said spoilers are more than just random babblings all over the place. The story is so raw it sometimes wanders off when you’re not looking.
There is some sort of order, but limited to not much more than a script, of dialogue and direction.
