Hey readers! Max here with a quick update. I know I anticipated the paperback for Axtara – Banking and Finance being available today, but alas, it is not. Why? Well … therein lies a bit of a story. Mostly because once again, Amazon went cheap, and that’s created problems.
See, Amazon has a bunch of tools you need to satisfy in order to print a book. Straightforward enough … save that one of them is, well … a little broken. To be specific, their cover program.
Short and sweet here guys. I’m still pretty tired. And was tested for Covid-19 last night so … yeah. 72 hours until the results come back. Only symptoms fatigue (a lot of it) and the occasional light headache.
But enough of that. Book updates!
Starforge is now at 163,500 words. I’m running a little slow right now, just doing 2,000 a day instead of 3,000-4,000 and I’m tired through it, but I can’t stop. This story is too important.
Readers! I have fantastic news! The print proof for Axtara – Banking and Finance will be in my hands this weekend!
Yup! It’s ordered and on its way! Which means that I can finally give you guys some solid details! Like, for example, when it might go up for sale.
First up: Beta Emails have gone out to prior Beta Readers for Axtara 2! If you are a prior Beta Reader, check your email inbox!
Yes, I know, I’ve been quite silent this week. Don’t worry. It’s because I’ve been busy with Axtara!
The copy-edit for digital is almost done. Tomorrow I should be able to finalize it. At which point all I need for the digital release is the cover.
Hey readers! Max here with a quick news update for all of you! One that’s about to deliver some truth to the phrase “a picture is worth a thousand words.” Are you ready? Here you go!
[Fimfic doesn't support this feature, so you'll have to click over to the full post. Sorry!
Writing and selling books is an interesting experience. Some days things look fantastic, like you’ve reached new heights. Other days you look at the numbers for a week and wonder what happened, and if it was something you did or just the fickleness of the market.
Technically I’d say this counts, as Southeast Alaska does have a series cloudy, overcast appearance to it, even if it wasn’t quite so cloudy this time while I was there, but it does give the land an appearance of being in a “shadow” a lot of the time. Anyway …
Hello readers! I’m back!
“Was I ever gone?” some of you might be wondering. Well … Remember how I got that Covid-19 vaccination on Monday? I noted as such in Being a Better Writer that day, then after I finished my post went right to work and chugged along. Well …
So basically … kind of a news post. But not. More just a case of “Well, I really should say something, and there have been goings on lately …”
Well, this week was kind of a bust. Not great when you’re on a schedule but …
The basic gist of it, folks, is that I caught a cold that’s been going around. Cough, stuffy nose, some soreness. Oh, and a fuzzy head, which pretty par for the course when getting sick.
Most of you can probably guess what this post is about. Yesterday, I put my fingers to the keys one final time, and wrote the last line of Fireteam Freelance.
That’s right. The whole thing is now complete. All episodes.
Are you guys ready?
Tomorrow the ultimate episode of Fireteam Freelance drops. Black Site Bora, episode 12, goes live at 9 AM, Saturday August 8th, 2020. Seven months after the first episode, Zero, made its debut.
Hey folks! Been a while since there’s been one of these! But hey, I’m back in the groove, work is progressing, and now it’s time to let you all know what’s up.
So, I’ve had a lot of people ask me the same question over the last few weeks, especially as work on Jungle wound down and slowed. Sometimes their wording is a bit different, sometimes it’s the same. But all of it boils down to one simple concept: Now what?
