Now, I was going over some of my older favourites and I ran across this song. For whatever reason, it makes me think of Spilight. Like, the idea that Twilight hides her loneliness behind her work when all she really wants is someone to love her.

Enter Spike.

Oh, man, this song really takes me back. I never thought about it like that, but I could totally see Twilight like that. She buries herself in her studies to distract her from how lonely she is. Spike is that friend who sees it, but keeps it quiet because Twilight isn't ready to admit it yet. But when she does, he'll be there. Not to take advantage of her, but to give her the love she's always wanted. The love he's always had for her. The love of two close companions who've been through hell together and came out the other side triumphant.

Well damn, now I kinda want to write this.
