I have a small problem. For a later part of one of my Stories I need to write about a gun being loaded (or rather a shot - y know the part of a big weapon like a rifle you pull to load the shot). The question is: how do I express that? The sound of it? Anyone got an idea? Would be rather nice, thanks 🙏

The best I can say from personal experience is it sounds kinda like a heavy *ching*. It’s hard to be more explanatory then that when it comes to that specific sound.

Are you talking about a flintlock or a modern weapon?
