For those of us who haven't come across this in the library before, prepare to be introduced to a history where America in the Late 20th/Early 21rst Century suddenly are sent back to Germany in 1632 A.D.

Now that doesn't sound very important, but what if Ponyville ended up in some past history of Earth or of Equestria? They would end up making a new universe and new history, as strangers from far away showed up and changed everything they knew.

May I also add that this series would have collaborations with David Webb and Virginia DeMarce?

(Note: This has been posted on both the Alternate History Bronies as well as the Crossover groups)

Have fun kids.

P.S: I forgot to add that the series takes place during the Thirty Year War.

Those are two separate story ideas.

It is easier to describe the impact of sending ponies to Earth's past, since our history is well-documented. There is very little described about the history of Equestria. Twilight Sparkle could recover the Elements of Harmony in the past. But beyond that, you'd first have to describe the history of Equestria, and then describe how future ponies change it.

For example, using her knowledge of history, Twilight Sparkle could warn Princess Celestia about the griffon attack on Stalliongrad that was about to happen, and change history. But that history doesn't exist in the show's canon.

4550149 True, but if the history was well documented in the story, and all of that history was in Twilight's Library, then it could work... in a sense.

Then again, if we placed Ponyville near Grantville, it would alter history much more differently, as ponies would interact with the Americans, then they would team up and help some of the people of Grantville deal with the Spaniards who would do horrible things during the Thirty Year War.

and that is if you only do a cross over with the book.

Imagine if it was Equestria only in Earth history.

That is an entirely different kettle of fish.

True, true. There are so many ideas that can be used for this. From Ponyville being taken back to the war years, long before Celestia and Luna, to Ponyville being taken to someplace near Grantville (the town that goes through a similar problem to Ponyville), and the Americans teaming up with the ponies to help in the Thirty Year War.
