Oh sure he'll survive his own food poisoning, but then most Marvel characters don't have a healing factor. This is probably mostly in character for X as well as he's far from a goody two shoes like having plans on how to kill all of the X-Men. If he did remove Wolverine from the team, yup, their fighting power would go down a lot. They need him.
