I can't really fault SQ's logic here. I much prefer the world that is the main timeline of the series.
Having seen the video, though, I think it's a bit of an (unintentional) misnomer to title this "The need for the Diarchy." Just something that caught my eye, and I'm not trying to give you trouble, it's just that Luna herself is barely referenced, only her evil alter ego, and the contrast between Celestia's canon and NM's alternate world.
I do agree that the Diarchy is needed, or at least is a good thing, though. Obviously, there's too much for just Celestia herself to handle, as the recent episode with the Royal Sisters displayed.
I apologize if I've caused any offense, just some stuff I couldn't get out of my head.
