Most metal you like is metal I hate, and a lot of metal you hate is metal I like, including metalcore, Nu metal, and pretty much most modern metal that doesn't come from death metal or grind.

5389953 I really hate power metal. Not because it's necessarily bad, but because of how much of a letdown it was. I was hoping power metal was going to be a kind of happy and uplifting metal, but as it turns out, a lot of power metal actually has a very serious tone, and it's intended more to be epic than anything else.

Put simply, I thought it was called "power metal" as in "empowering" when it was actually called that as in "powerful."

Honestly, my favorite bands are BABYMETAL, The Amity Affliction, and Breaking Benjamin. That should pretty well summarize the type of metal I listen to.

There's more to life than Metal, to be sure.
