I know the show makes the Tantabus out to be this being created by Luna for her guilt, but I had a thought, what if she merely believed that was the case? What if the Tantabus is an actual being that seeks to enter Equestria and used Luna's guilt as a means to manifest, first in the mind scape before trying to make its way into the physical realm (kind of like Bill Cipher from Gravity Falls)?

If that was the case what do you think it would want to do to Equestria?

It's an interesting question. One that is extremely difficult to answer. An energy being like the Tantibus wouldn't think in the same linear fashion physical being tend to most of the time. And understanding such a truly alien mindset would be impossible in truth.

It's far more likely to do one thing as a feint for something else entirely. And even then you wouldn't be able to pin down what was the bluff and what was the real agenda.
