The HST is still functional. Back when we launched it The Soviet Union, Yugoslavia, and Czechoslovakia still existed. I worked with a family from Northern Macedonia, aa formerr Yugoslavian Republic. It is interesting to think that they lived in Yugoslavia, when we launched Hubble.
Mir was the 1st multimodule spacestation. The Soviets started it back in 11987. Back in the day, it was cool.
Speaking about spacestations, I just saw the movie Salyut 7. It is a big disappoint. Evidently, the writers, directors, and producers believe that Transformers 2 is a great movie, and embellished the movies with continuous action that did not happen during Soyuz T-13. Even if one cares nothing about real events, that alone ruins it. It is a shame because a 90% accurate movie could be as enthralling as the movie Apollo 13.
