Conscripts, foot soldiers, guardsmen, storm troopers, redshirts (Star Trek), marines, clones, faceless supporting characters, and the list goes on. We all know them as cannon fodder who dies for the sake of the main characters for getting the job done, saving the day, and getting recognition for their deeds. But do redshirts get recognition for their sacrifice?

If it weren't for redshirts, the main heroes wouldn't be alive. Such as Ollanius pius, the Emperor wouldn't kill Horus if it weren't for his sacrifice, or those foot soldiers you sent to capture checkpoint B in order to bring in reinforcements.

Anyway, Real heroes that deserves more recognition than the main heroes or just scrubs?
