Has anyone heard of Shining Time Station? It was a great spinoff of Thomas.

Heh.... guess which steam locomotive actually appeared in the intro and credits? :3

The one in a 1981 movie.

7752605
Of course. =3

And of course.... wanna know which steam locomotive it is? :3

7752607
Incorrect. ^^'

It's this steam locomotive right here:

Union Pacific 844 :)

7752608
I was gonna say that. My mistake

7752609
It's fine. :P

Btw.... wanna know a well know fact for 844? :3

7752586 I definitely have. It's a shame it's languished in obscurity: All we have to remember it by are a few sparodic VHS releases and whatever recordings fans have.

It's the only steam locomotive that is owned by a major Class 1 Railroad, that being the Union Pacific, that has never EVER been retired!

In other words.... it was built for the Union Pacific from the American Locomotive Company in December 1944, and has never left the railroad's active roster! :D

I actually watched a few episodes of it as a kid. It was through this show that Britt Allcroft was able to able to introduce Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends to the children of America after its success in Britain. And I still remember how they incorporated Shining Time Station into Thomas and the Magic Railroad.

Watched it when I was little. Good times watching that show.

7752659 Yeah. It was made because U.S. television laws at the time wouldn't allow the Thomas episodes to be broadcast on their own, It had to be part of a half hour block. So Shining Time Station was created as a way to fill the length. It's also why "Thomas and Percy's Christmas Adventure" was changed to "Thomas and Percy's Mountain Adventure", the episode it was part of was a Thanksgiving episode.

Sagwa was also great, though far eclipsed by Thomas in my life.

Do you like the Alley Cats from Sagwa? I do because they were inspired by Scatcat and his gang and Schemer.

7752718

Scat Cat in the Aristocats was awesome, no doubt about it. Fun character, along with O'Malley.

7752729
I was talking about the Alley Cats from Sagwa.

7752730
Sorry, I don't remember those ones; I remember the nasty little dogs a little bit though.

7752732
What is your opinion on Hoarce Schemer? He's nasty but a good heart.

7752733
Greedy/selfish, and a doubter when it comes to the existence of Mr. Conductor.

7752734
He is rotten to the core, but he has a soft side when it comes to his friends

7752733 His last name says it all. He almost always only cares about making a quick nickel or two off of whatever he can. He even took advantage of Stacey losing her memory at one point.

7752760
Even though I love Schemer, do you remember when he took Ginny's dog and set up a bad security system?

7752699
I know. I saw that episode.

The one where Mr. Conductor admits he knows a thing or two about instruments.

Mr. Conductor's Evil Twin dropping stuff on Twilight:
