One of the main characters in our story, 'Expedition to the Cloudbreak Islands', is a newly-turned vampony. He's been on a slow buildup, spending the first few chapters in a coma and then being in denial of his vampire status for a while. He was feeding in secret (mostly) and inadvertantly using his charm power a couple of times. In the latest chapter though there's no hiding it. A couple more chapters and there will be a reckoning of sorts, as the group slips into an ancient crypt and summons a spirit that can explain things - like the fact he's being turning the ship's captain into his charmed thrall.
