Are changlings created, born or both? Where from Equestria do they come from?

4417197 In my headcanon, they used to be Alicorns. Unlike Celestia that focused on stable harmony, they focused on progress. By performing artificial selection in exile, they managed to gain new abilities (changing form, sucking on magic). They're still evolving. Their plan is to liberate everypony from imperfect stability that Celestia has forced upon them.

Changelings are born and originate from the lands of the Alicorns.
