An alternate universe where instead of making it to the Dragon Migration, Spike is scooped up by a female dragon thinking he a helpless baby. Although maybe that's contrived i'm not sure. how would a female dragon have baby supplies.

Also maybe Twilight fires at the dragon to try and protect Spike but then the female dragon sees the attack as the ponies huntring the poor baby dragon.

just bare bones and I need help to expand the idea a tad cause there not much plot there, you know.

Interesting idea, needs fleshed out a bit, perhaps take the part where Twilight fires at it and re-work it into Twilight and the mane 6 go on an adventure in some sort of B plot to rescue spike while the A plot is spike being babied by this mother dragon?
