Allow me to introduce myself; my name is Max, I live in Northern California, I'm 22, and I've wanted to be a writer for as long as I can remember. I face a chronic problem with many of my works and I hope the people hear can help me out. The problem is, at least for my non-MLP projects, is that my head is at war with itself. The battle is between the background lore and writing the actual story. I feel I need to write down the lore so I can avoid continuity errors and such, and yet when I'm trying to write down a scene, I can see it play in my head like a movie, but something is stopping me from getting it down on paper. I have no idea what to do.

Please, I need some guidance.

Hmm... POV change, perhaps?

2598998 Great story in meh lore is better than bad story in good lore. Why don't you try using your lore as supporting tools for your story instead of a cage for your story. :unsuresweetie:
