That's honestly all you can do.

Both armies have lost formation, enemy and ally alike are almost indisposed to helping each other.

The best you can do is try to stay alive in the chaos.

Pray, trust, fight.

Pray for a miracle.
Trust your soldiers.
Fight to survive.

But me, personally?
Adapt, overcome, and conquer.

Yeah, at this point it would be "every man for himself" or in another case "kill or be killed". Unless you somehow able to rally your troops with an inspirational speech or waving a banner around.

It would be amazing if the forces didn't break and scatter at that moment, given the chaos and can't tell who's winning or not.

Indeed. No one likes it when the fight gets like this. The noise and smell, the confusion and chaos...you’re just as likely to kill your brothers and sisters in arms as much as the enemy.
