Little Horn climbed aboard the contraption and stood near the stern of the craft, hoping to help levitate her friends who couldn't fly onto the ship. "To Appleoosa, please!" She pointed a hoof towards where she thought was where Appleoosa was.

Soon the craft began to rise and then sped off in the direction of Applelosa. It's silk wings spread out and began to move. A sail rose on the front much like a fin on a fish as its movements caused the direction taken. On the bottom unseen by most of the foals was another set of wings made entirely of wood. There was also a below deck area.

These young friends of hers were a part of the adventure, just as the Six brave mares who went on adventures that they decided to go save. Unable to hear the talking of the other foals, Scarlet let herself become lost to the world. Her mind adrift within the stories she'd read and created. A content smile drifted onto her face as her eyes slid shut, exuding a serenity in the winds gale. As this continued, the shadows around her solidified and gradually rose up, condensing into a new form that came to rest on her shoulder. A tiny sphinx, perched upon the filly, it's colors changing to represent the one she'd met in the cave.

Maybe if we solve the mystery there, you think the settler ponies will let us have some apple pie or other stuff to eat?"

Little Horn heard the Roc's eagle screech and ducked. "What the hay is that thing? It sounds like a raptor...you know, like a bird of prey." She looked around and saw Marie was hiding somewhere and went to hide with her. "It's okay, Marie! I'll protect you from whatever that thing is. I'm not sure if I have any spells to help. I have levitation, short-range teleportation, and some magic blasts, but that's about it."

Scarlet heard the screeches and screams, and turned towards the sources. Reading about the Roc from legends and stories was one thing, but to see it in pony was a completely different story. Almost on instinct, her ruby eyes pulsed and the shadows condensed around her, but there they stayed for now as she was uncertain how to deal with the legendary bird of prey.

The hawk dove forward it's golden beak sharp and aimed at the ship. Suddenly in a blink of the eye. Zakroon let loose a bright red liquid. Hitting the Roc's eye. The Roc screeched and flew back. The red powder had turned the eye irrated by some type of rash. The Seikta accelerated forward with new found speed. On the mast a rune glowed bright black. Zakroon felt the physical strain of the spell, but he pushed forward knowing this was the difference between life and death.

With the Roc at least temporarily blinded, Scarlet saw her chance. Her eyes pulsed as she poured magic into her illusions. First, a very rough bubble surrounded the ship that was easily see-through and really appeared no different from the inside. Outside however, all that would be seen was a rather quickly moving cloud.

A short distance away, a second illusion appeared. A duplicate of the ship, although consisting of less detail and missing several of the finer points, moved off in a different direction, trying to lead the Roc away from the fleeing youths.
