When the illusion and the bird were nothing but dots along the horizon line, Scarlet released her illusion and promptly collapsed on the deck of the ship. There she panted, mentally kicking herself for using that much power so quickly after the debacle with the griffon. Even as a 'Lost', she was only a filly and as such had a much more strict limit on her magical capabilities.

Similarly, the illusion surrounding the ship faded away as well, since Scarlet was no longer devoting energy to keeping the illusion going. She wasn't out yet, but it'd be a real strain to pull another stunt like that.
