I might as well plug my story here. If you're interested in a long and epic political story involving various POV characters, epic pony wars, murder, mystery and overall seeing Equestria destroy itself from within, then look no further! This is a Game of Thrones inspired story (although not a crossover by any means) that looks at what happens to the Equestrian throne after Celestia dies.
