Before I start spewing literature nonsense all over the place like a bad case of oral diarrhea, I would like to state the obvious

God: all powerful who created the universe and it's the central of the moral authority, a spirit or superhuman being that has power over nature or human fortune. Note: gods are incorporeal and some can possess corporeal beings in order to manifest themselves in the mortal realm.

Deity: the physical interpretation of a god or goddess that can be told apart by the others gods and goddesses thanks to his/her appearance, behaviour, moral alignment and power(s). Note: deities are incorporeal but can manifest themselves in a corporeal body.

I hope I didn't stink the entire thread now. . . oh well.

Anyways, here's something that can make us members (no pun intended) get inspired to write about what the thread is about, sadly being the douche that I am, there are some rules (I know, rules who likes them when you're creating supernatural almighty beings)

The rules are rather simple not really

Origin: only if you're god or diety used to be a mortal

Moral and mental alignment: are they evil for fun or their the epitome of evil, as well as their mental health and sanity (if they have any that is)

Power(s): don't make the god or diety OP, they have to be stopped, defeated and detained at some point. Fair game and all

Domain: you don't have to name where your god/diety resides/lives, just mention how the place looks like and what you expect when visiting.

Subjects: just like all gods and dieties have their own little fan club of bloodthirsty fanatics who're more than willing to skip rope with the entrails of their enemies, you have to mention either the race or group of selected individuals that follow and obey your god/deity

Influence: you have to mention what's the particular type of mortal beings that are most likely to either, fall under the temptation the god/diety, or if the god/diety has a particular interest in a specific type of being (scholars, aristocrats, warriors, savages etc)

Creation(s): you can create a secondary OC, make sure to make the creation is reasonably beatable or that it has a particular and strict set of rules it/he/she has to follow.

I'd like to point out...

If a god is the definition you have above, how could there be more than one? If we go by only part of the god definition...
God(s): a superhuman being or spirit worshiped as having power over nature or human fortunes; a deity.
Deity: one exalted or revered as supremely good or powerful

Using those, then yes, there can be several gods. As for entering a 'god'...

Name: Reveleraina

Origin: Chosen Inheritor of the Previous Goddess

Moral and mental alignment: Chaotic Good- A little mischievous but good hearted, sometimes acting as Lawful Good. Sane with no mental disorders.

Power(s): Conceptual Art [Modified]- Her paintings and creations are found in nature, and, in an emergency, she can paint, sing, or write her way into another realm. Disabling those abilities and one could possibly kill her. The Art of the Forest- Mother of all forests and forest creatures, she can summon them and control trees to her whims.

Domain: A great forest surrounded by a great sea, a small dwelling in the center, almost shrine-like. Should you approach while she is home, she will approach you as a creature of the forest, should you treat it well, she may grant you a gift, if you treat it harshly, you will be cursed. Her home realm is easily entered, being connect to all forests.

Subjects:
The Illiat of Skies- Group of fanatical followers who believe she created life, under her influence, and attempt to bring all under her influence.
Oracles- Group of followers who do no more than preach and teach of her.

Influence: Art In all Forms and Forests

Creation(s): N/A [For Now]

(Would've entered my other 'god' but, she didn't fit the criteria)

Name: not known

Origin: after the unison of the Three Tribes, the Windigos were destroyed so they couldn't return to wreck havoc once again in Equestria. All the hatred, sorrow and misery managed to overwhelm them as it consumed them all, from their deaths was born a being who's only purpose is to destroy all those who are responsible for its predecessors demise. Sadly, the harmony that permiated the world forced it to retreat into a world of shadows where it rules supreme.

Moral and mental alignment: Lawful Evil, no presence of mental disorders or problems

Powers: being made out of intense negative emotions makes it a master of all black arts, capable of transforming and mutating the most innocent of beings into bloodthirsty abominations. Sadly, being an entity made out of negative energy, thoughts and magic alone makes it very susceptible towards harmonious and white magic as well as extremely weak towards any type of light.

Domain: this spirit of misery resides in a world where the suns light never reaches, being an extent of its magic allows it to alter everything inside, from its dimensions to the very fabric of the reality within. This place is also the breading grounds of the Mimics, Harbingers and Reapers

Subjects: the Mimics are born from the jealousy the entity radiates, thanks to the emotion they're born off they can mimic any being their creator knows of. Since Mimics are shadows as well, they require a living and willing host in order to manifest themselves in the mortal world, they grant their host access of some black magic spells as well as the ability to turn their body into black fog. Those willingly possessed by them have black mist radiating from their eyes.

Harbingers are born from the hatred the entity radiates, thanks to the emotion they're born off they never tire or need rest as long as their hatred runs deep. Uncharacteristically of them, they are very well versed and some master particular types of black magic spells, but they specialise in summoning black tower like things from the earth that harvest all negative emotion nearby, powering their caster. Those willingly possessed by them have their entire skin and fur turn an ashy black color.

Reapers are the pinnacle of the Shadow beings lesser hierarchy for they resemble the ultimate fate of all living beings under the influence of their creator. The Reapers are dealers for those who are willing to be consumed by the shadows in return for immeasurable power in return. Sadly there's a heavy cost for the services they grant. All those under a contract slowly start loosing their sanity as they are reduced to the most prevalent negative emotions present. Every other emotion will be blackened and consumed by the magic that will now course their veins. Those under a contract serve indirectly the Spirit of Misery and Spire, for their souls belong to it.

Influence: all those who are touched by negative emotions are of little interest to this Spirit, for what it seeks the most is a constant state of suffering, anger, jealousy or other negative emotions that cloud ones judgement.

Creations: Mimics, Harbingers and Reapers

I'll have something for later. But I have a question. Can the god/goddess be something that was already immortal, or just ageless, and then ascends to godhood? That's what happens in my book/s, so I ask about that because I don't want to get my hopes up. Most of the deity stuff happens in the sixth book and beyond (none of them are published by the way, still working on them) and most of the gods started out as just normal people, or dragons, or dwarves, elves, humans, yada yada. Some of the other gods, however, split off from one of the main characters because he has multiple personalities living in his head, some are sane, some are not, and all represent a different part of him.

5160613 your points and hesitation are valid points, and yes, the god or gods/dieties can be put here. However none of them can be beneficial to any race.

They have to be evil (regardless of how cliche that word sounds). Just make sure to use the describing thingamajig that took so little much to make.

Thanks for informing me about that instead of posting it head on

Alright, just making sure. I'm posting him now, hopefully I don't accidentally ruin anything. Everything that is listed happens in the sixth book and beyond (as I said, I'm still working on them) and some events may or may not be set in stone. There are multiple gods, and at least eight different gods of war in this universe.

Name: Alexander

Origin: One of the Archon's splintered personalities when he ascended to godhood. He is the god of war, hatred, chaos,* rage, and bloodshed. He is considered to be one of the minor gods in the pantheon.

Moral and mental alignment: Chaotic Evil. Since he is one of many of the multiple personalities formed in the mind of a man who wasn't exactly sane to begin with, along with what he's made to represent, his mental state could be described as utterly insane.

Power(s): Alexander, despite being considered a minor god, still theoretically has enough power to destroy a planet. However, he is forced to obey the rules of all the gods in the pantheon, which is rigorously enforced by the Dragon God. Among those rules, and the most important, is no direct interference. No killing a mortal* unless provoked.* No god or goddess is allowed to force mortals to worship him or her. Gods tricked into disobeying these rules can have their power stripped from them for a short time, or having their very essence destroyed. As such, Alexander also has little to no power in the physical realm, especially if he chooses to take a physical form, making him vulnerable to capture. If one has the capability, it is possible to drain him completely of magic, thus killing him in one way, or destroying his essence in the immaterial realm.

Domain: He controls his own version of the underworld and whatever he does with the souls unfortunate enough to fall into his care is known only to him and the souls he possesses. However, wherever there is war, Alexander is there. Cackling away at the slaughter.

Subjects: All those who choose to engage in war, hatred, chaos, rage, and bloodshed are indirect followers. Slowly feeding him small amounts of power. Owing to his insanity, he's as likely to kill his 'allies' just as much as his enemies. Due to his violent nature, aspiring warlords who worship Alexander are sometimes granted the opportunity to summon an avatar of Alexander on the physical realm to fight for them. This can sometimes backfire if the summoner is weak of will, the avatar will fail to summon, or summon completely and destroy everything indiscriminately.

Influence: Only those who choose to follow him. He can only make his presence known.

Creations: The avatar. A tall demon of fire, filled with murderous intent, and carries a large sword into battle. Without fighting to sustain it, or the will of a strong master in the vicinity, it can quickly fade away. Using spells made to calm can 'harm' it or it is possible to destroy it with raw power. Destroying it with violent means can be a challenge or easy, as the avatar is chained to the summoner or Alexander and draws strength directly from their force of will. Alexander will always have a weak grip on the avatar. Second creation. Shrine to Alexander. Those seeking Alexander's power can come to worship and offer to do great deeds of violence, or anything that represents his concepts, to earn his favor.

*Not the fun kind of chaos that Discord creates, either. Also, no, Discord is not a servant and anything he does drains Alexander of power or steals it away from him.
*Anyone who is not one of the gods and lives on the physical plane.
*Anyone who does any of the following to the god in their own realm: attacking first, insulting said god, breaking the rules of their realm, in which the punishment is up to the god in question. Simply entering the realm of a god, depending on their mental state and/or agreeability, can be a danger. Especially Alexander who might just torture or kill you for fun as soon as you enter.
However, issuing a formal challenge to the god on the physical plane (or anywhere really) will allow that god to completely manifest themselves and fight with as much power as they can muster. Meaning that even a minor one can probably squish you.

Name: "The Archmage"

Origin: she is splintered personality of Shift, the Goddes of Magic, so, in the past she was an alicorn.

Moral and mental alignment: Ussualy Chaotic Evil, but from time to time she can be Lawfull Evil or even Lawfull Good. She likes to cause suffering to mortals. In fact, she is a mental disorder, and hate everything in the world.

Power(s): She posess knowledge of a many kinds of magic, almost endless mana well, and can warp reality. Despite this, she can be banished with the help of Divine Artifacts or powerful magic.

Domain: Her domain looks like a void filled with stars and nebulas. However, the domain is actually bodypart of the deity, and being in it mortals walk inside guts of the Goddess. Domain inhabited by a huge number of mental parasites and minor astral demons.

Subjects: All those who admire the magic, is afraid of it, or practice the dark arts, are indirect followers of The Archmage, producing small amounts of faith.
"The Unity" small group of knight-templars, who ready to kill and die in the name of their Goddes.

Influence: Mages in general. Unicorns and alicorn in particular.

Creation(s): Spirits of Revenge. Restless souls of the sorcerers, who practiced the Dark Arts, sooner or later, will fall under her influence, turning into something they are not. Spirits of Revenge usualy posess tremendous magical power and skill, but dont have any desires of their own, and to exist in the world of living they need to posess someone. Mortals possessed by them, do not get acess to the skills of spirits, and give in to their own dark emotions, which also reduces their effectiveness.
