For the last seven and a half hours, I haven't been able to follow anyone, save for a half-hour break somewhere in the middle of the 7 1/2 hour period. More info here and here...

Can't say that I have lately, no. During the update, I had more problems with the watch system than anything else on the site, but now, it works just fine for me.

I can't say for sure without waiting and testing in a bit, but I'm pretty sure based on the stats on your user page that you've just been following too many people. There's a limit of 200 per day, which is a limit no sane person should run into... I'm not sure how many people you've been following, but if I had to guess, I'd say this is the culprit.

Give it until 25 hours after the first time you noticed the problem, then test again and let me know what the results are.

It's actually two hundred; and as I stated in the previous post, I'm not sure why. I think it has something to do with database/array queries, but that could just be some code-sounding words I made up. knighty has a reason on the backend, and as I said, it's not something that's needed to be public because the case for it being problematic is so small, it's not really worth exposing.

Either way, glad the problem sorted itself out.

In the future, if you have real technical issues with the site, please PM someone on the mod team or leave a comment on one of our user pages. This group is devoted solely to nonconstructive bitching and yelling at knighty for being dumb.
