MTV does this every year where fans get to vote on their favorite bands to make it to the next round. It is similar to the bracket system of March Madness only the fans get to choose who wins. Usually My Chemical Romance does extremely well and made it to the semi finals last year only losing it to Green Day and same thing in 2011 where it lost to Paramore.
