Is there a way to use such things with only 4G of VRAM? I can reduce the size to 512×512 so that my GTX960 does not OOM, but this gets me cropped images, eg. the parameters from the OP give this after a few steps:

The SDXL model was trained on 1024x1024 as its native square resolution, you can't really shrink it and get good results. I've never heard of anyone running SDXL on a 900 series card, even with --lowvram.
In general, my advice to everyone right now is acquire GPU with as much vram as you can.
