It's about an orphaned girl named Tohru Honda who discovers the secret of the well-off Soma family. The family is under a curse. When hugged by a member of the opposite sex, they transform into the animals of the Chinese zodiac (There is also one who turns into a cat; this is all part of the story). The Somas allow Tohru to stay with them so long as she can keep their secret. The main plot is about her; a gentle, kind-hearted girl who keeps smiling despite all she's been through. She reaches out to each of them, and makes their lives better. If that isn't Love and Tolerate, I don't know what is. Her strength is amazing.

Wow, I have this game.

The first chapter is pretty creepy, I must say. But it did manage to hold my attention. I have stopped at the start of the second one... it just didn't seem to have the same appeal as the first one.

The expansion was better in my opinion. Shadows of Undrentide (an alternate to the original story) had a lot fewer dead bodies... and more interesting side characters. I love Deekin. He's a little Kobold bard. He likes to sing the doom song.

Well, I didn't advance much. I think I played the first chapter two times, through... love being able to save characters.

My favorite partner was the halfling rogue... because as the villain of the first chapter said: pillaging is a hero job.
