Nearly every highly rated and universally well critically received movie I’ve seen I’ve thought was total dogshit, such as Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy to name a prime example. I fucking hated that movie and it’s the primary reason I don’t hive a tenth of a shit as to what critics have to say about anything anymore.
...And, well. Consensus seem to be not great.

To be fair, the 1999 film was a reboot of the 1937 one, and it was hardly a hit with the critics, but people seem to fondly remember it.
Not really getting that same ‘schlock but fun and well-made schlock’ feeling from the new one, or its current numbers
