for those unaware, Merrow are essentially the Irish equivalent of merfolk. they sing, they can go in fresh water, they do typical irish fairy stuff, and they are UGLY compared to normal merfolk. those mermaids in Harry Potter? Merrow.

1420471 Oh, yeah. Those are native in the waters around Australia. I've seen them at the aquarium, and they're very beautiful!

Hmmm, Changeling Merrow-ponies... That does have possibilities, more than the shark-like Kelpie from Canterlot.com.

Fasinating. Though I always pictured aquatic changelings being more like Great Old Ones like Cthulhu or Dagon
