Fireflies

Fireflies fly
Up in the blue sky
Lighting up
Saddened hearts
From every goodbye

The world may spin,
The sun may set.
But please, remember,
It’s not over yet.

Goodbyes don’t mean,
Things won’t be the same.
Even though tears may fall,
Our lives ain’t over yet.

Fireflies fly,
Trying to light,
Those darkened hearts,
Crying for hope.

Though things may change,
Fireflies will stay
Just by your side,
Through your long journey,
Their light will stand by

Let their lights guide
Your way home
When I’m not by your side,
Please keep going on
Fireflies will take you home

Even though the skies,
May darken for a while,
Just look at their light,
Look at them and smile

I hope we’ll meet
Some other time
