Touching grass, taking photos, etc. · 9:15am Oct 28th, 2022
I am preparing El 🇵lan for some good hiking up in the mountains this weekend. My hope is, (1) to get some good pictures, and (2) that the last picture on the memory card isn't of a charging black bear. (It's that time of year.)
I don't think we're to deer season yet, but I'm going to wear a loud-colored jacket just to be safe.
According to Amazon, my Manfrotto 055 aluminum tripod is 5.5 pounds and the Manfrotto 055 carbon fiber tripod is 4.4 pounds. I'm not sure saving one point one pound (600-ish grams) is worth almost five hundred dollars, so I'll be hauling the aluminum one about.
Sony dropped a new camera, the A7R V, this week. Although I have four grand, I'm not in the mood to spend it on a toy, but I'm admiring the various camera YouTubers' reviews. It's a nice piece of kit! Sticking with my Nikon Z50 for the time being.
Hope y'all can get out into the fresh air and touch some grass this weekend, too.
