Hey everypony!

Firstly, I want to thank everyone who has begun reading Pupil of the Night! I have been extremely nervous about this story, as it is my first one ever published to the public, but so far it seems to be enjoyed and I'm super happy about it. :raritystarry:

Secondly, you've probably noticed that I unpublished the second chapter, which I apologize for, but it's for a good reason! Promise!

As I said in the Author's note, Pupil of the Night will not have scheduled releases for its chapters. This is due to many reasons, the main one being that I don't have this story 100% planned out. I have the base for the start and what major events I want to happen and how it ends, but that's it. I don't have many of the fine details planned out, nor do I have a lot of the actual world built yet.

Now to why this relates to Chapter 2.

While rereading my story to plan Chapter 3, I realized that the story kind of jumps between Ch.1 and Ch. 2, it's almost.... random, if you will. I also realized that my introduction to Dusk Dagger was pointless and underwhelming. :facehoof:

When I introduce a character, I want them to be meaningful, whether that be to another character or to you guys, and I just didn't feel Dusk was introduced correctly. And during my brainstorming and inspiration searching, I came up with a better introduction AND a way to transition smoother between Chapter 1 and the current Chapter 2.

I am currently writing a new chapter, which will replace Chapter 2. The current Chapter 2 will still be a chapter in the book, just a later chapter. And some of you might ask, "Why unsubmit it if you're going to keep it in the story? Why not leave it for others to read while you work on the in between chapters?"

And while I've thought about leaving it up, I want readers that are new to my book to be able to read it in its intended order, if that makes sense. :twilightsheepish:
